Gun Raffle Rules 2024
This raffle supports the activities of the Republican Party of Calumet County, (RPCC).
We thank you!
1. The name printed on the ticket is the winner.
2. By purchasing a raffle ticket, you attest that you are a law-abiding citizen of good moral character, agree to use the firearm only in a legal and safe manner, and will, or have already obtained, instruction on the safe use and operation of the firearm won.
3. All Federal and State firearms laws and regulations apply. The winner must pass any and all legally required background checks to claim a firearm. We will inform you of our FFL contact information. If you wish to have the prize transferred to your own FFL, this will be at your expense. Winners who are found to be ineligible will be disqualified from winning any prize.
4. You must be 18 to enter the raffle. If you have won a handgun, you must be 21 or older to have it transferred to you. If you are under age 21, but at least 18, the handgun cannot be transferred to you, however, you may either elect the cash option from RPCC, or negotiate a trade for a long-barrel gun with T&L Tactical, our FFL holder. (That transaction will be strictly between the winner and T&L Tactical.)
5. Depending on the prize won and IRS regulations at the time of winning, your name and social security number may be required to be reported to the IRS as a taxable event.
6. The drawing will be held at 3:00pm, on May 11, 2024, during the 2A Rally at the Eagle's Club, 1041 E. Chestnut St., Chilton, WI. The drawing and rally are open to the public, but the winner need not be present to win.
7. Firearms will be drawn in the order listed on the ticket.
8. We will notify winners promptly. Winners may claim their winning firearm at T&L Tactical, 7430 County Road CR, Manitowoc, WI, after 11:00 am. On Monday, May 13, 2024.
9. Winners will have until August 11, 2024 at 4:30pm to claim the firearm or cash prize. Failure to do so will result in prize forfeiture.
10. The Republican Party of Calumet County makes no warranty of firearms; winners must deal directly with the manufacturer if problems arise.
11. All tickets sold will be retained by the Committee for one year.
12. Eligible winners of each prize are allowed to select the alternate cash option in lieu of receiving the prize, and in that event, that prize will remain the property of the RPCC.
13. If winner is found to be ineligible to possess a firearm, that winner is disqualified, and that prize will be redrawn at that time.
14. If winner is not present, the Committee will attempt to contact winner for 30 days. If winner is not found within 30 days, the Committee will then hold another drawing for that prize at that time, in the presence of Committee members, during a regular Committee meeting.
15. If the second winner is not located after 20 days, that prize will remain the property of the party.
16. Any prizes that are not won and/or are returned to the party's possession for any reason, will be raffled off at a special “members only raffle”, to any party member who expresses their desire to purchase that prize from the party should they win at the special drawing. There will be no “cash alternative” offered in this drawing.
17. Such special drawing will be held at the next Party Monthly Membership meeting.
18. The date, time and location, (RPCC HQ), and description(s) of firearm, will be printed in the Newsletter prior to that next meeting.
19. Those members who wish to enter the special drawing must attend the Membership Meeting and receive a numbered ticket prior to the drawing. Tickets will be combined in a suitable container and the ticket will be drawn by a random member in attendance.
20. All members wishing to participate in such raffle will understand that they will pay the exact cost of that prize, immediately following that drawing. The winner of this drawing will be responsible for contacting T&L Tactical for a background check and the transfer of that prize from T&L Tactical to the winner.
21. In any case where the prize is not awarded but the cash alternate is paid, that prize remains the property of RPCC.
22. The Republican Party of Calumet County makes no warranty on firearms. Winners must deal directly with the manufacturer if problems arise.
23. Should any law, regulation or other legal barrier occur before the firearm is awarded, such that the transfer of said firearm is prohibited, the Party will award a check in the amount of cash assigned to that prize respectively, in its place, as printed on the ticket.
24. Every attempt will be made to deliver the prize firearm rather than award a check as a replacement.
25. The eligible winner of a firearm, at their discretion, may elect to receive a check for the alternative cash amount in lieu of taking possession of the firearm.
26. The RPCC makes no warranties regarding any firearms and no representations regarding suitability for any firearm. The RPCC is released from any and all associated liability concerning the gun raffle, outside of the cost for tickets purchase.
27. Raffles are void where prohibited.
28. Any disputes will be resolved by the Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Calumet County.
